Thumbnail Brief

This brief that i have given myself is one of the outcomes of me talking to a concept artist who works for Rare, I was asking for advice with landscapes and he said that once i did 100 landscape thumbs i would start to feel it gel. I took this as a challenge under the thought that i would only get better through practice so here is the outcome.

Editorials

This is something that i have been working on recently, I took an article from the I newspaper on the possibility of trains in london becoming more cramped and expensive in the future. I started out with the first idea that came to mind, which was people being crammed into trains like Sardines. So at first i drew them as Sardines.
After talking with my tutor, we decided to have a look down the root of changing the Sardines into people who look fish like.
Throughout this illustration process i have found the later stage of drawing people like fish the most challenging, i also struggled with making the image look cramped and busy aswell as making the image flow and communicate the idea across easily.
Due to this fact i did a turn around and i am now using my original ida as it is simple, gets the idea across straight away and it flows the only problem is that it doesnt really look like a train enough.

Here's an image iv done for Doomedpatrol.blogspot.com as a request. Not that its a bad thing to draw women in skimpy clothing but, my original idea was to comment on the fact that most women in games have few clothes on but rarely get more damage then fully clad guys :O

T-shirt Commision

Here is a St. George's day t-shirt commision that i have done over a few days. The client asked for St. George to be spearing the dragon as is traditional and for it to be placed on the back of two polo shirts. The polo's will have his name over a shield on the chest on one and his brothers on the other. I realy did quite enjoy this brief as it has been years since i have drawn knights and dragons.
